The RX-2221 2U rackmount computer is a single-processor workstation or entry-level server. The standard configuration includes a Pentium 4 processor, motherboard with onboard audio, video and LAN, 128MB Ram, 80GB hard drive, CD-ROM and floppy drive. If a removable hard drive is needed, a custom configuration is possible using a slim CD-ROM to keep the open 5.25” drive bay available for a hard drive in a removable hard drive kit. There are two internal 3.5” drive bays if a RAID 0 or 1 configuration is desired. The system has front LEDs to monitor power and hard drive. Two front and two rear USB ports are available. Three open horizontal PCI slots make this system ideal for applications from Internet server or firewall to telecom or VoIP. Power supplies from 250-600W are available. With the power supply in the front, an 8cm ball-bearing fan in the rear provides ample cooling.
