For a powerful NAS, SAN or file server, the RX-3390 3U rackmount computer is hard to beat. With its dual Xeon processors, up to 16GB RAM and up to 16 hot-swappable SATA hard drives, this server says “Can do” to the most demanding of computing tasks. The theme of fault-tolerance and redundancy begins with the drive bay design and continues with the redundant power supply and cooling system provided by four 92mm heavy-duty ball-bearing fans right after the drives bolstered by a 60mm fan in the back. An extended ATX motherboard with dual LAN and sound and graphics controllers onboard is standard. Front LEDs monitor LAN, drives, power and fans. There’s a grilled front door that opens with two thumbscrews. You’ll have to open it to make use of the two front USB ports and slide drives in and out.
