The RX-1160 rackmount computer packs plenty of speed, power and storage into 1U of rack space. With 600 watts of power at your disposal, you can run up to eight 2.5” U320 SCSI hard drives as well as the fastest AMD Opteron dual core processors available and up to 2GB of RAM. Those eight drives are hot swappable and removable as well. The ninth hard drive bay is internal. Fill all the bays now or add on as your storage needs grow. The carriers are already there. There is also a slim 5.25” bay for CD, DVD or reader/writer. Cooling comes from six 15cfm heavy-duty ball-bearing fans. In addition to holding all those drive trays, the front panel still finds room to provide LED indicators for easy monitoring of system power, hard drive power and activity, and temperature. In addition, the front panel includes two USB ports, and power and reset buttons. Two more USB ports are on the rear as well as all standard motherboard interfaces. There is one open horizontal slot for a PCI add-on card. Multi-storage applications requiring the speed of U320 SCSI will find a welcome home in this 1U rackmount computer system.
